Is your taproom open?

Yes! We’ve reopened our taproom both indoors and out and, as always, are available for online and in-person to-go orders.

Is your garden open for outdoor seating?

It sure is! We have a spacious and beautiful outdoor space with plentiful picnic table seating and a shade sail canopy to beat the heat.


General FAQS:

Is mead beer?

Mead isn’t beer, but our draft mead is very similar in appearance and consistency. Beer is fermented using malts, barely, and grains. Mead is fermented from honey and yeast.

Is mead gluten free?

Mead is naturally gluten free!

Is mead vegan?

We understand that there are differing opinions on this; if you consider honey vegan then our mead is vegan.

Are the bees really dying?

While colony collapses are problematic, beekeepers are rising to the challenge by proactive care-taking practices. Due to an expanded state of mindfulness, the volume of colonies and honey have actually been back on the rise over the last few years.

Is mead kosher?

Our mead is made from 100% kosher ingredients, but is not officially kosher certified.

Do your products contain hops?

Our mead does not usually contain hops, so hop-intolerance is not a problem when drinking our mead. We do sometimes make small batches that contain hops, but this will always be carefully marked.

Do your products contain malt or grain?

Our products never contain any malt or grain.

Does your product contain nuts?

Our product does not contain nuts. Our facility does not use any type of nut during production, so no possibility of cross-contamination! We do, however, serve nuts as a snack option in the taproom for guests.


 Is the taproom dog-friendly?

Our taproom is dog-friendly. Feel free to bring your puppers! Just be sure to keep them leashed, for their own protection, and for the safety of our other guests.

Do I need to make reservations for a tasting or tour?

You’re always welcome to pop-in and sit down with a flight, but we do not offer private tastings. While our staff are prepared to give guided tours, they may be busy pouring drinks. If you want a guided tour, please mention your interest to our bartenders when you arrive.

Can I bring food into the taproom?

BYO-food is in full effect! The only exception to this will be private events where explicitly stated.

Is parking available near the taproom?

There is always ample parking on Biddle Street in front of our taproom. Guests are also welcome choose one of Mt. Vernon's paid parking lots.

Do you sell kegs?
